Welcome to my favorite room in the Brack house! The nursery is (almost) finished. It is still missing a couple of items: sheets. changing pad, some toys, and accessories, but when you have an unexpected day off from work, you blog because you never blog.
Here was the mood board I started with. I struggled making decisions in her room. I wanted it to be gender neutral for the next baby but that felt too limiting. I finally gave in and embraced pink!
Here are the before pictures.
And here are the afters!
Excuse the white blocks-- we aren't sharing her name with the internet yet.
The pups love to hang out here.
Almost everything was a DIY-- installing floors, scraping popcorn ceilings, installing a new fan, installing baseboards, painting everything, rehabbing a craigslist dresser, giving the ugly bifold, slatted closet doors a makeover, adding poms-poms to Ikea curtains, and making the mobile and yarn art. This room was such a work of love by Taylor and myself. Taylor is and was the hero of this space!
The source list can be found in this post, but let me know if there is anything I missed. Lastly, here is a poem written for our baby girl.
